Things To Do

Out & about…

There are so many things locally to enjoy, so we’ve put together some of our favourites to help you get started.

From local restaurants to stunning scenery to historic attractions, there’s plenty to enjoy throughout your stay with us.

There are many lovely walks in & around the Creuse, please ask us for details.

We are delighted to recommend our local restaurant Le Passe Muraille situated just a 4 minute drive from our B&B. A cosy ambiance and delicious food!

Crozant

Located in the Creuse Valley, also called Valley of the Painters in reference to the hundreds of painters who settled there such as Claude Monet, Armand Guillaumin or Francis Picabia, the town is ideally positioned in the heart of the enchanting landscape of the Creuse.  Artists and poets have also contributed to the fame of Crozant Chopin, George Sand & Maurice Rollinat to name a few.

Take a coffee or lunch at the Eclat d’Soleil cafe And while away an hour people watching on the terrace.

You can discover the ruins of one of the most remarkable castles in the region. Sail off on a scenic boat trip down the river, or for the energetic hire a kayak and explore for yourself. Both options can be booked at the lakeside Hotel du Lac.

Etang du Cheix

Situated an easy 20 minute walk from the B&B you can take a circular walk around the lake and then back to the B&B in less than an hour. During the summer months you can have a drink or meal at L’Aquarelle Restaurant at the lake.

Jardin ArtBotanic

Less than 6km from the B&B you can explore the Jardin ArtBotanic, created by the talented Lionel Ewertz who continues to evolve it.

Walk, relax and educate your inner botanist
